FRUIT BURST
Over there is somewhere, and they are someone. ‘Recycling’ gives us permission to pollute, but New Zealand still sends 1/3 of our ‘recycling’ to vulnerable communities overseas.
We don’t see where it ends up, it’s over there... Invisible tribes, drowning in poverty and plastic, are grateful for our trash. They sort it, chop it, melt it, dry it: recycle it all by hand, no matter how much it pollutes themselves and their environment. They are doing the best they can to feed their families.
In recognising these people, what they do and making them visible, can we change our chuck away culture?
