CHARLOTTE ANDERSON
AWARENESS
This series is inspired by notions of peace, nature and decay. The objects I used were all found while out walking. I used old transparencies I photographed in nature many years ago, and projected them to serve as backdrops and reflections, highlighting both connection and isolation. There are so many struggles facing us as a world and as I move into the next phase of my life I find it hard to work out how to remain visible.
This work seeks to acknowledge our place in this world, and the relationships we have to the natural world.
Here you need to look into the details but everything is slightly distorted as in life.
FLOATING
Here the feather is hard to recognise, floating in space and time.

ABOUT CHARLOTTE
Charlotte is an internationally award-winning photographer, growing up in New Zealand she took flight and moved to London in her early 20's and stayed for many years. Then life took her on the journey back to Hawkes Bay, New Zealand where she now lives with her son.
Travel then studying photography at City of Westminster College, London, is where the photography journey began for Charlotte and since then has taken her to a few far-flung places as well as closer to home as well as having her work shown in a number of group and solo shows in London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan and New Zealand. After focusing on documentary and art photography Charlotte had a natural progression to lifestyle and editorial when she moved to Hawkes Bay.
Her work has a very human feel to it and her ability to relate and connect to her subjects give the work depth, honesty and at times fun. She loves colour, light and tone, mixed together giving a strong flow to her work.
