CHARLOTTE ANDERSON
UNRESTRICTED (from the series Accessibility)
Accessibility is a topic that has been contemplated many times over the last year with huge changes happening globally and a lot of issues being highlighted; but it is also a theme that as a woman one faces on so many levels through life in varying ways.
I started this project when we were in lock down, I wanted to use found objects and reflection to work on a series and as it developed I found meaning in the process as well as representing the feelings I was going through as a female photographer. The dome that covers the subject gives protection but also restriction, when released freedom is open to interpretation and the reflection shows a different side to oneself. Using found objects from nature shows our integral part within this process.
CHARLOTTE ANDERSON
I have been a freelance photographer a number of years now.
Growing up in New Zealand I then moved to London in my early 20's and spent over 20 years abroad where I studied photography at City of Westminster College, London. This is where I started my photography career, which has since taken me to a few far-flung places and have my work in a number of solo and group shows in London.
In 2018 I returned to New Zealand with my 3 year old son and now concentrate on lifestyle, documentary and art photography.
