I feel that the natural wonders and beauty in this world are being forgotten and buried in the media din around us loudly announcing wars, climate destruction, deadly viruses. I am concerned that I have lost sight of my natural surroundings, the seasons, the tides. I am creating this series of images to remind myself to talk to the children around me and my own inner child, about the magic of this world, to help me look in awe at the landscape around me and to marvel at Mother Nature.

Jessie Casson is an award winning British Photographer. She arrived in NZ on her honeymoon with her husband and a backpack and never left. They are now based in Auckland with their three kids.
She has always lived a little bit outside the square. Growing up in an isolated farming community in the North of England with no TV she became absorbed instead in the stories of the people around her and that’s where she has trained her focus ever since.
With over 20 years of experience directing and photographing people Jessie is known for getting the best out of subjects across countries and cultures. Every shoot is a collaboration driven by her core values of inclusion, inspiration, and equality.
She has established herself as a sought after portrait and lifestyle photographer and captures imagery for clients and international brands such as Amazon, Chemist Warehouse, HSBC and Vodafone around the globe. Jessie approaches every shoot with a fresh perspective and passionate eye.
