These individuals are all venerable female photographers. The idea behind these subjects’ portraits led to an incredible bond between me and the sitter. Everyone is remarkable and one of a kind.
All of these photographers were driven by the fact that there is only one roll of film, which means that there is only one chance to get the right shot with no instant preview of the final outcome. This made them even more nervous and more curious, while at the same time enjoying the process and feeling appreciated. The feeling is amplified by the one shot, one opportunity that film photography commands.
